Peach Crisp
Ingredients
Filling:
- 5 cups peaches, cut into one inch pieces
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
Topping:
- 1 cup quick cooking oats
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup all purpose flour
- 1 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ cup cold butter, cut into small pieces, plus more butter to grease the baking dish
Optional:
- vanilla ice cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine all the ingredients for the filling and set aside.
- Combine all the ingredients for the topping and set aside.
- Depending on how you want to serve this, you can either use a medium casserole dish 10”x 8” (greased with butter) or large ramekins for individual servings.
- Place filling into greased serving dish. Then place a generous amount of topping mix over the peach mix.
- Bake in the oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes if using a baking dish. If using individual ramekins and depending on the size of your ramekin, perhaps around 45 minutes. Bake until white powder on topping is no longer visible.
- Serve by itself or with a scoop of ice cream on top!
