Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
Servings: 15

Ingredients

Filling:

  • 10 cups blueberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¼ cup all purpose flour

Topping:

  • 3 cups quick cooking oats
  • 3 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 1 ½ cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 ½ cup butter, cold, cut into small pieces, and more butter to grease the baking dish

Optional:

  • vanilla ice cream

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Combine all the ingredients for the filling and set aside.
  • Combine all the ingredients for the topping and set aside.
  • Depending on how you want to serve this, you can either use a 13.5” x 9.5” baking dish (greased with butter) or, as I like to use, large ramekins for individual servings.
  • Place filling into greased serving dish.
  • Then place a generous amount of topping mix over the blueberry mix.
  • Bake in the oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes if using a baking dish, otherwise if using individual ramekins and depending on the size of your ramekin, perhaps around 45 minutes.
  • Serve by itself or with a scoop of ice cream on top!
